ICE agents have begun deployment to other U.S. airports to support aviation security amid ongoing government shutdown, which has resulted in significant personnel shortages and long waits. At DFW Airport, the central hub of American Airlines, the wait time for seven of the 12 open checkpoints was between 0 to 10 minutes, with five other checkpoints having wait between 11 and 23 minutes. Meanwhile, major airports across the country have seen long security lines due to the shutdown.
