Minneapolis man sentenced to 5 months in prison for threatening to kill Congress member

A Minneapolis man, Michael Paul Lewis, has been sentenced to five months in prison for threatening to kill a member of the Congress. He pleaded guilty to one count of threatening to murder a United States official and was sentenced to a year of supervised release. Court records show that Lewis threatened to murder the office of a U.S. Congress member in 2025. After speaking with law enforcement, he confessed to the crime.
