The club's performance has been described as "unacceptable" by its head coach, Nico Estévez, as he defends the team's poor performance in press conferences. Despite this, the team has been criticized for their lacklustlustre performance and lacklustre defense. Despite injuries, Austin FC's Owen Wolff is expected to return for the upcoming game against Toronto FC.
