The forecast for the weekend includes a warm and dry weather, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-80s and close to record highs. The fire threat will be elevated due to a westerly breezy, dry ground and low humidity. However, a slow-moving front is expected to approach the area from the north on Monday, potentially triggering a few isolated showers and storms. High pressure will return to the area on Wednesday and temperatures will warm from the 70s to 80s on Thursday through the weekend. The area of "extreme" drought continues to include our entire area, with no improvement expected over the upcoming week.
