Alston owns Diamond Cutz, a barbershop located just ten minutes from the Smith's off Maryland Parkway. He said his actions were not about being a hero, but about his relationship with a family member. He also mentioned the need for more security measures, including more surveillance and more frequent occurrence of violence.
