Patrick Smith, former head coach of the Princeton Tiger baseball team, has taken over from Wick Warren, who retired after 10 years as head coach. Smith succeeded Warren as head. He credits his transition to varsity assistants Tony Brucker and Caleb Dickens, and the JV staff of Brock Hansen, Brent Yepsen and Garrett Allen. The Tigers will open the season on a three-game road trip starting on Thursday, March 19 at Sterling, followed by trips to Dixon on Saturday, March 21 and Stororor. The team's top four bats from last year were replaced by Ace Christiansen, Jordan Reinhardt, Noah LaPorte, and Nolan Kloepping. Senior Ryan Jagers said changes have been made this year to improve their hitting and pitching under Smith. The roster includes seniors Tyler Forristall, Cayden Benavidez, Jagers, Braden Shaw, and Jack Oester, all who have varsity experience.
