Jedixson Páez, a Rule 5 draft selection from the Chicago White Sox, made his major-league debut against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. The right-hander had previously pitched in high Class A for the Boston Red Sox organization. Despite allowing three runs on a Jake Bauers home run and two hits with two walks in 1 1/3 relief innings in his debut during a 14-2 loss to the Brewers. Manager Will Venable said Páz looked like he belonged out there and expects the next time to be more aggressive in the zone. The White Sox also activated Bryan Hudson and Tyler Gilbert to Triple-A Charlotte ahead of Saturday's game.
