Ira Sachs' "The Man I Love," starring Oscar-winning Rami Malek, is set to world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and is the sole American feature currently slated to compete for a Palme d'Or. Co-written by Sachs and Mauricio Zacharias, the film is set in late '80s New York and is described as a "musical fantasia of a city under duress." The cast includes Tom Sturridge, Rebecca Hall, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Luther Ford. The creative team behind “The Man” includes frequent collaborators with Sachs, Fionnuala Jamison, and WME Independent.
