Pete Hegseth Pressed On Why Israel Is Dragging U.S. Into War

A reporter asked Secretary of War Pete Hegseth why the U.S. is assisting Israel in a war against Iran, as they are pursuing their own objectives. President Donald Trump revealed that Israel had struck South Pars Gas Field in Iran without the US' knowledge, but Hegsetsh responded by stating that the U., along with allies, the US military "controls the fate" of Iran. Hegstandh also stated that the United States has its own objectives and that Iran should not target any Arab countries in an attempt to "create pain". Former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) Joe Kent, who resigned from the administration earlier this month, said Iran did not pose an imminent threat to the US.
