Southern Nevada will see temperatures fluctuating from the 60s to the 80s this week, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in some areas. This will be followed by a period of high temperatures, which could drop from the warm 80s to milder 70s by Sunday. An area of low pressure is expected to drop south towards Southern Nevada and move into Southern Utah later this afternoon, bringing a cold front along with colder air aloft and instability. While Nye and Lincoln Counties may see thunderstorms, Clark County will likely see showers and strong winds. A brief lull between windy systems will bring warmer highs in the 70s to around 80 on Tuesday and Wednesday, but more wind will return Thursday and Friday with another disturbance in the Plains and Great Basin.
