UC San Diego women's basketball won their second consecutive Big West championship, securing a spot in March Madness. The Tritons struggled to score in the first half and missed 10 straight shots, but rallied in the second half to secure the win. Head coach Heidi VanDerveer praised her team's second-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. The victory marks the only two seasons UC San Diego has been eligible for postseason play since moving to Div. The 14-seeded Triton will face third-seeding TCU in the NCAA Tournament on March 20 in Sacramento. Erin Condron and Makayla Rose led the scoring with 22 points and 14 rebounds respectively.
