This advice comes as wedding costs remain high in the United States, with The Knot's 2026 Real Weddings Study finding that the average wedding costs around $34,200 and has remained steady at $33,000 in 2024. In a video accompanying the post, O'learle emphasised the importance of keeping the guest list tight and focusing on people who matter to the couple. He also suggested that smaller celebrations should be smaller than large ones.
