Higher elevations in the North Carolina mountains could see 0.1″ to 0.25″ of rain, while lower elevations may see trace amounts of 0.2″. Despite this, fire weather conditions will remain elevated throughout the forecast period. The ongoing drought and dry air mass will keep fire danger elevated into early next week.
