A homeowner in suburban Australia noticed a large kangaroo struggling with his foot and called a wildlife helpline. A local sanctuary worker attempted to tranquilize the kangaro but the dart failed. Rebecca Ingram, chairperson at Marsupial Mammas and Pappas Wildlife Care (MMAP), stepped in and successfully removed the wire. The animal was able to regroup and rejoin his mob within an hour. The homeowner also found a wire used for a solar panel left out on the veranda.
