No Good Deeds Go Unpunished By Our European 'Allies' and Their Total Inaction

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has been largely absent from supporting the United States in Operation Epic Fury, which aims to halt Iran's nuclear weapons. This has been seen as an example of their shortsighted policies, short-term memories, and a short-changing case of their no-good-deeds-go-unpunished narcissism. Spain, Italy, and France have been the worst offenders, while Spain closed its embassy in Israel and kept it open in Iran, and its prime minister labeled Epic Fury an “illegal war”. The United States spends far more on defense for NATO’s 32 member nations than any other member nation. Despite this, the U.S. earmarks 3.22 percent of its GDP to defense, accounting for roughly two-thirds of total NATO defense spending.
