Pasha Palanker, a member of Team Fastrax in the Tri-State, was injured while parachuting into the Virginia Tech spring football game. The incident occurred due to a sudden shift in wind conditions that pushed him into a stadium jumbotron. Video showed him hitting the jumbtron and hanging above the crowd before first responders brought him down. Palankers, who calls the incident a fluke, was later seen in a sling after sustaining a shoulder and back injuries. He plans to return to jumping once he recovers.
