A task force officer, working undercover for the FBI, was allegedly assaulted and robbed him of $10,000 in government funds during a drug deal with Marcus Lewis and a juvenile in Ford Heights, Chicago. The alleged incident occurred on April 3. Lewis and the juvenile were arrested and Lewis fled on foot, but the juvenile is expected to face charges in state court. The federal complaint accuses Lewis of lying about the identity of the undercover officer and claiming he knew the officer was a cop. The Chicago U.S. Attorney's Office is determined to hold down to the full extent of the law and will not tolerate attacks against federal law enforcement officers.
