Too early to try to react to spiking gasoline prices, Las Vegas tourism agency says

The Las Vegas Convention and Tourism Authority (LVCVA) CEO, Steve Hill, has stated that it's too early for Las Vegas to react to spiking gasoline prices. In the past, Las Vegas resorts have offered gas cards or vouchers for gasoline if guests booked a stay at local properties. However, Hill cautioned that it is too early to consider whether these high prices will negatively impact Southern Nevada visitation. The immediate effects of the spike in gasoline prices were largely obscured by the presence of the ConExpo-Con/Agg construction equipment trade show, which brought an estimated 140,000 people to Las Vegas.
