FEMA providing nearly $23 million to support survivors of Hurricane Helene and other disasters across the Southeast

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has announced $22.9 million in funding to support recovery programs across the Southeast following Hurricane Helene. The funds will be used to address urgent needs for individuals, families, and communities. Over $2.1 million is for Disaster Unemployment Assistance, which is funded by FEMA and administered by the states of Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee. $18.2 million is to help develop a long-term recovery plan and assist with the recovery efforts.
