Sha'Carri Richardson, a 26-year-old Olympic 100m silver medallist, won Australia's iconic Stawell Gift from the back of the field, overcoming a disadvantage of up to 10 metres. She completed the 120-metre race in 13.08 seconds, marking the fastest time in the 148-year history of the event. The prize pot of 40,000 Australian dollars (£20,900) was also won by 19-year old Charlotte Nielsen.
