Jack Fusco, President and CEO of Cheniere Energy, has stated that the company is already operating at maximum capacity to meet demand in Asia. This comes as Qatar Energy, the world's second-largest LNG exporter, has shut down its plants due to the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran and could lose 17% of its supply for up to five years. Fuscos is hopeful that Cheniere can begin commercial operations at its Train 5 expansion at Corpus Christi, Louisiana, by Friday to provide additional cargoes to Asia. Europe remains a key market for Cheniere, with 1,600 cargos landed on the continent since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
