Todd Lyons, the acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is set to leave his position effective May 31. This follows the resignation of Markwayne Mullin, who took over as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security following Kristi Noem's ouster in March. Lyons, a veteran ICE official who served since 2007, has faced constant criticism from anti-ICE activists, including New Jersey Rep. LaMonica McIver. Despite calls for Lyons' resignation from disgraced ex-California Rep. Eric Swalwell (D), he refused.
