Trump Eyes Australia’s Super System for US Retirement Overhaul

U.S. President Donald Trump is working with his top economic adviser, Kevin Hassett, to create a more efficient retirement system. The current system, established in 1992, requires employers to contribute 12 percent of a worker's salary to a fund, unlike the U.S., which is largely voluntary. The proposal is expected to be approved by the Department of Taxpayer Affairs.
