The Giants were shut out for the seventh time in their first 32 games, the most in the majors and only four off their total from all of last season. The team's 3-0 loss against the Rays was the third consecutive loss for the Giants, matching their season-long losing streak. Robbie Ray surrendered home runs to Yandy Diaz and Junior Caminero, while Shane McClanahan was able to keep the team scoreless for six innings. The Giants' 3.25 runs per game are also the fewest in the major league. Despite being walked off twice by the Phillies, the Giants fell to 0-4 on their road trip.
