The Charlotte Hornets have clinched at least a spot in the play-in for the first time since 2022, ahead of their final home game against the Detroit Pistons on April 10. This is the first game between the teams since a brawl in February resulted in four players being suspended. The Hornets are currently 9th in the standings at 43-37 and have a chance to be a 7th, 8th or 9th seed in the Eastern Conference play-off. However, they have yet to secure a win in this competition. The Pistons are currently the top team in the eastern conference with 58 wins.
