Richmond, Virginia, has made significant gains in racial inclusion rankings, according to a report by the Brookings Institution. The study, which assesses metros' economic performance over the past decade, found that the city has seen one of the nation's biggest gains in this category. Richmond also jumped seven places in overall growth and prosperity for all residents, while maintaining its place in the top five for geographic inclusion. However, the report also noted that despite these gains, economic growth isn't translating into higher incomes and jobs for all Richmonders.
