CNN anchor Jake Tapper accused President Donald Trump of calling for genocide in Iran, prompting a response from Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). Tapper used Stefanik's criticisms of pro-Hamas protests to create a rhetorical trap. Stefanik responded by comparing Tapper's accusations to the radical pro-Palestinian antisemites who physically assaulted, spit on American students faces, drew swastikas on their doors, and rioted and destroyed university property. Tapper insisted that what Trump had called for genocide was clearly a call for genocide, but Stefanik countered by highlighting that the Iranian terrorist regime had been targeted.
