Draymond Green has returned to the Golden State Warriors on a one-year deal equal in value to the final year of his previous contract, which he opted out of to help the Warriors secure LeBron James. However, James chose the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency. The Warriors are currently more than $97 million over the salary cap, but have $20.7 million in salary space under the NBA's luxury tax. Green had previously stated that he was working with the Warriors organization on "optionality" going into free agency and was doing his part to help improve the team.
