Tulsa city leaders are beginning recovery efforts following an EF-1 tornado that hit North Tulsa on March 6. Most of the damage was to private homes and businesses. The affected area stretches from East 54th Street North south to the northern edge of the Gilcrease Expressway. To assist with cleanup, the City is offering special greenwaste pickup for residents within the designated damage area. Residents can request a one-time free dump pass for storm-related debris. The city's emergency repair grants are available to eligible households within Tulsa city limits. The Tulsa Financial Empowerment Center is offering free one-on-one financial counseling to help residents manage recovery costs and navigate available assistance programs.
