Leading California Governor Candidates to Appear at Fresno State Forum

The election for California's next governor will be held at Fresno State on April 1. The Western Growers Association has invited six key candidates, including Xavier Becerra, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco, Steve Hilton, former Rep. Katie Porter, San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, and former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. The forum will include two-minute opening statements followed by one hour of questions from the moderator. The public is invited but must register. Other notable attendees include Rep. Eric Swalwell and billionaire Tom Steyer. Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, D-Fresno, missed a news conference on Monday due to illness.
