The Philadelphia Phillies have proposed $205 million in renovations to their baseball stadium, BayCare Ballpark, which is home to spring training and the team's Single-A affiliate, the Clearwater Threshers. The changes would significantly upgrade the stadium's facilities and help the team stay in the area until at least 2047. The project is currently funded through tourist development taxes, an additional $75 million, and a $20 million grant from the state. The remaining funds could also be added from the City of Clearwater.
