Man who escaped DeKalb County custody mid-trial caught in Alabama

Brian Tripp, a man on the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office most wanted list, has been captured in Prichard, Alabama. Tripp was on the run after escaping mid-trial in 2024 and convicted of kidnapping, street gang charges, and assisting in covering up the death of Anthony Woodland. The arrest was made with cooperation from the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
