The Old Dominion men’s tennis team defeated Gardner-Webb 4-0 in the first NCAA Tournament in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Felix Obermair and Zech Hamrouni earned the doubles point for the Monarchs, while Thomas Nelson and Jean-Karim Olivier De Sardan won the other doubles triumph. The team will next face Wake Forest in a second-round match. Meanwhile, No. 19 Tennessee defeated the Old Dominion women’�s women's tennis team 4-2 in the NCAA Tournament. The Christopher Newport men advanced to the Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference championship match with a 4-1 victory over Salisbury. Norfolk State has added two transfers to its 2026-27 roster.
