Pentagon identifies 6 airmen killed in crash over Iraq, including 3 Ohio Air National Guard airmen

The Pentagon has identified six airmen killed in a military plane crash over Iraq, including three from the Ohio Air National Guard. The crash occurred during Operation Epic Fury and brings the U.S. death toll to 13. Three of the dead were from the 121st Air Refueling Wing in Columbus, Ohio. Three airmen from the 6th Air Refueing Wing were also killed. The Pentagon is still investigating the cause of the crash, which is not believed to have been caused by hostile or friendly fire. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has ordered flags across the state to fly at half-staff until the funerals of the three airmen are held. The incident remains under investigation.
