Victoria Gotti, the former head of the Gambino crime family, has stated she would rather die than accept a kidney transplant from her son, Carmine Agnello, if he is jailed for fraudulently obtaining $1.1 million in COVID-19 relief loans. Her decision was influenced by her late father, John Gotti. Gotti's son is set to be sentenced in Long Island Federal Court in September 2024 after pleading guilty to lying about the size of his payroll and falsely claiming he had no criminal record. Federal prosecutors are seeking 33 to 41 months in prison, plus $1,25 million in restitution, while his attorney, Steven Metcalf, has requested probation.
