Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor has reported its first annual profit of 540 million yuan ($77 million) in 2025, reversing a 2.82 billion yuan loss, and doubling its revenue to 64.7 billion yuan ($9.4 billion). The company delivered 596,555 vehicles globally in 2025 up 103%, and plans to produce 1 million units in 2026, with a net profit goal of 5 billion yuan. The company's success signals a significant step forward for Brazil's electrification push. Leapmot will be produced at the Goiana plant in Pernambuco, joining other brands including Jeep, Fiat, and Ram. Three new models were launched during the year, including the B10 crossover, the B01 sedan, and the B05 hatchback, broadening the range beyond the C-series SUVs that initially established the brand. State-owned FAW Group acquired a 5% stake in Leapmott for $530 million, reducing Stellantis' holding to 18.99%.
