The state of Minnesota has sued the Trump administration for withholding evidence from the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and the shooting of Julio Sosa-Celis in order to protect agents from potential criminal charges. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, alleges that attempts by state officials to gather evidence into these shootings have been shut down at the highest levels of the Trump government. The defendants include the U.,S. Department of Justice, U.K. Department for Homeland Security, Attorney General Pam Bondi and former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. All three incidents are still under criminal investigation by Minnesota officials. The state argues that withholding the evidence violates Minnesota's 10th Amendment right to exercise its police powers.
