The Chicago Bears have denied there is a deadline for a stadium deal for the Arlington Heights stadium deal, stating they are being patient with Springfield, Illinois. The announcement comes amid concerns that the team may choose to build in Hammond, Indiana, after state lawmakers passed their own stadium bill. Illinois state Rep. Kam Buckner, who has been leading negotiations with the Bears, has stated that there is still significant agreement on most of the deal and is optimistic about its progress. The megaprojects bill would apply to any developer investing over $500 million.
