Junior right-hander Jowell Colon started for Jacobs against Burlington Central in a 6-0 Fox Valley Conference victory over the host Rockets. Despite previously working out of the bullpen, Colon was eager to get a start. He used his outside corner to create weak contact and pitch for strikes. His brother Aaden Colon came on to secure the win, retiring all seven batters faced. The Golden Eagles' offense also contributed to the win. Jace Koth and Brock Vincent were key figures for Jacobs, with Cooper Gulgren and Ryan Tucker each contributing two hits and an RBI.
