The MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator (MASTER) is a modified Daedalus Wildfire scanning spectrometer that flies on multiple altitude research aircraft. The Pushbroom Imager for Cloud and Aerosol Research and Development (PICARD), a VNIR-SWIR airborne imaging spectrometers, acquires imagery from the NASA ER-2 high altitude research plane. The Meteorological Measurement System (MMS) is an advanced instrument for measuring accurate, high-definition airborne state parameters. The Sensor Network is a key enabling technology for airborne science, extending real-time sensor webs to the core NASA science aircraft.
