The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved disaster assistance for those affected by December's flooding and landslides in Washington. The funds will be used for recovery efforts across 10 counties and 16 tribal nations. The federal government estimates that the damage to state infrastructure will cost more than $180 million. The funding will also apply to eligible state and local agencies for emergency work, repairs, and replacement of damaged facilities.
