After four seasons of coaching by Matt McMahon, the LSU men's basketball team is reportedly set to dismiss him. McMahon replaced Will Wade, who was fired in 2022 for allegations of recruiting violations. This follows a period where the team went 60-70 and 17-55 against the SEC, with no Men's NCAA Tournament appearances. McMahon's buyout is set at $8,000. This is the second time in five months that LSU has hired a coach who tarnished its reputation before reevaluating it.
