Sunny Fire scorches 12 acres in Napa: A worrying start to the fire season

A Napa County fire has scorched 12 acres, marking the seventh pre-April blaze to occur within the local Cal Fire jurisdiction since 1950. The Sunny Fire was reported about 2pm on Saturday and was contained by Saturday night. No injuries or damage were reported. The fire occurred as high temperatures surpassed 80 degrees. The last local fire reached at least 10 acres was the Alpine Fire in 2022.
