The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has condemned social media posts by Donald Trump showing Muslim shoppers at the Mall of America, which was filmed during an Eid celebration at the time. The video, without a caption, shows a crowd of mostly non-white people walking through Nickelodeon Universe at the mall as the song "Mad World" played. CAIR accused the posts of partaking in a pattern of racist and dehumanizing rhetoric towards Somali Americans and Muslims. The Mall confirmed that the video was taken during one of two Eid holiday celebrations in 2019.
