New reports suggest that AI technology may be driving executives to return to old habits of trusting their instincts or personal face-time when making decisions. In the recruiting field, AI is helping to streamline the application process and filter applications for candidate suitability, but the influx of applications is causing severe pressure on decision makers, with some considering quitting the profession. The study from online resume service Zety found that a flood of job applications has led some to look for potential hires in other locations, including social media platforms, stores, gyms, airports, and dating apps. The report also highlighted the need for organizations to integrate talent data meaningfully in their hiring systems to achieve productivity gains.
