ReedPop announced last year that BookCon would be returning in 2026 after its six-year hiatus. The two-day event, which began in June 2025, will be held at the Javits Center in New York. Tickets sold out immediately when they went on sale last September, and reservations for author signings and exclusive events were also sold quickly. The organizers are preparing for the influx of authors and readers, with some notable attendees including Leigh Bardugo, Marie Roth, Casey Black, RFang, and Andy St. Weir. Despite a backlash from some authors about the convention, ReedPop supports the decision to continue with BookCon.
