JetBlue flight bound for JFK strikes coyote on Rhode Island runway during takeoff: ‘We heard a thud’

A JetBlue flight bound for New York was hit by a coyote during takeoff from a Rhode Island airport. The landing gear of the plane hit the coyote, causing it to turn back 15 minutes into the flight. The passengers were stranded on the runway for several minutes as emergency crews inspected the plane's nose. The plane was back in the air by 8:34 a.m. No injuries were reported.
