The Women’s Leadership Summit was held at the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, Va., ahead of the country's 250th birthday. Lindsay Chervinsky, the executive director of the Mount Vernon Ladies Association, led the event to honor the women who led the preservation of Washington's home. The summit also included award-winning journalists Anne Applebaum and Judy Woodruff, and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. The discussions included ways to heal a divided nation and women's role in preserving history and storytelling.
