The Tennessee State Senate has unanimously voted on a bill that would provide state funding for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TSR). The bill would allow the TWRA to no longer rely on hunting and fishing licenses. Among those advocating for the bill were former Nashville Predators player Mike Fisher and former Tennessee Volunteers Football Coach Phil Fulmer. The bill now heads to the Senate Finance Committee.
