Rain and gusty winds are expected to move into Northeast Ohio on Friday, bringing a wet end to the workweek before a brief cooling Saturday and a warmer pattern takes hold next week. Showers are predicted to develop late Friday morning and continue throughout the afternoon and early evening, with most areas receiving around a quarter-inch of rainfall. The National Weather Service in Cleveland expects southwest gusts of 25 to 30 mph, which will increase ahead of the front, shifting northwest later in the day. The return to southwest flow will bring temperatures above normal starting Sunday, with highs expected to reach mid-to-upper 70s across much of Northeast Ohio. However, there will be increasing humidity and potential for showers and thunderstorms due to multiple disturbances moving through the Ohio Valley.
